Setting Up Your MakerBritain Shop

Introduction #

Welcome to MakerBritain! This guide will take you through the initial setup of your MakerBritain shop.

The setup process lets you add the essential information needed to get your shop ready. Don’t worry if you don’t have everything available straight away — many sections can be skipped and completed later from your Store Manager.

Follow the steps below and you’ll be ready to start adding your products.

Step 1 — Set Up Your Shop #

Start by adding the basic details for your MakerBritain shop.

Enter your Shop Name and the other information requested on the Store setup screen. You can also add your shop logo and banner where available.

These details help identify your shop to customers, but don’t worry if everything isn’t ready yet — you can update your shop information later from Store Manager → Settings.

Step 2 — Set Up How You Get Paid #

Next, choose how you would like to receive payments from your customers.

MakerBritain does not take your sales money and then pay it out to you. Your available payment methods are connected to your own payment account, so payments can be processed directly for your shop.

Follow the instructions shown below to complete your payment setup. You can also update your payment details later from Store Manager → Settings → Payment.

Step 3 — Add Your Shop Policies #

You can now add the policies that apply to your own shop, including your shipping, refund and cancellation/return/exchange information.

Use these areas to clearly explain your terms to customers. Your policies can be updated later from Store Manager → Settings → Store Policies.

If you’re not ready to complete your policies during setup, you can choose Skip this step and return to them later.
