A discreet, durable awareness badge designed to help communicate hidden disabilities and support needs without the pressure of verbal explanations.

I created this badge because I know that not all disabilities are visible. As someone living in a neurodivergent household, I understand how challenging everyday situations can be when others can’t immediately see the support, patience, or understanding you may need.

This compact aluminium badge offers a simple, respectful way to communicate those needs in public, at work, in education settings, or out in the community. It’s especially helpful on days when speaking up feels difficult or exhausting.

Designed to fit inside a lanyard holder (not included), it can also be carried in a wallet, purse, or card holder and shown when needed.

The front of the badge features:

  • HIDDEN DISABILITIES in clear, easy-to-read lettering
  • “Please be patient and understanding” beneath

  • An exclusive green patterned border designed by Calmstream

The green colour palette was chosen to complement many hidden disability awareness lanyards while remaining clear and professional.

The badge is printed on both sides for a polished, professional finish.

The reverse features the same exclusive green patterned border, creating a cohesive appearance even if the badge turns while being worn.

Each order includes one aluminium badge, available in two thicknesses:

  • 0.45mm – similar to a standard bank card, rigid and highly durable
  • 0.22mm – slimmer and slightly more flexible, ideal for carrying alongside other cards

Card dimensions: approximately 8.5cm × 5.4cm (standard business card size)

Shipping Policy

Processing Times

All items are made, prepared and packed by hand from my home studio in Shropshire.

Please allow 3-5 working days for your order to be made and dispatched, although many orders are completed sooner depending on current shop demand and workload.

For personalised items, I may need to contact you to confirm details before production begins. Delays in responding to messages or requests for information may result in a longer processing time.

Shipping Method

Orders are shipped via Royal Mail Tracked 48 as standard unless an alternative arrangement has been agreed before purchase.

Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive tracking information where available.

Delivery Times

Royal Mail Tracked 48 aims to deliver within approximately 2 working days after dispatch. Please note that delivery estimates are provided by Royal Mail and cannot be guaranteed.

Address Accuracy

Please ensure your delivery address is correct when placing your order. I cannot be responsible for delays or additional postage costs resulting from incorrect addresses provided at checkout.

Lost or Delayed Parcels

If your parcel has not arrived within a reasonable timeframe, please get in touch and I will do my best to help resolve the issue with Royal Mail.

Personalised and Custom-Made Items

  • Personalised or custom-designed items unless they arrive faulty or damaged

Faulty or Damaged Items

If your item arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, please contact me within 14 days of delivery with photos of the issue. I will arrange a replacement, repair, or refund where appropriate.

Returns

For non-personalised items, returns may be accepted within 14 days of delivery. Items must be returned unused and in their original condition. Return postage costs are the responsibility of the buyer unless the item is faulty or incorrect.

Refunds

Approved refunds will be processed back to the original payment method once the returned item has been received and inspected.

Cancellations Orders may be cancelled within 24 hours of purchase. Once work has begun on a personalised or made-to-order item, cancellations may not be possible.

Returns Due to the personalised and made-to-order nature of many of my products, I cannot accept returns for custom or personalised items unless they arrive faulty, damaged, or incorrect.

For non-personalised items, returns may be requested within 14 days of delivery. Items must be returned unused and in their original condition. Return postage costs are the responsibility of the buyer unless the item is faulty.

Exchanges I do not generally offer exchanges on personalised items. If there is an issue with your order, please contact me and I will do my best to help find a solution.
